Mission Chef John Proctor Goes Live on Fox 8 to Promote the ACF Best Chefs of Louisiana Event to benefit the New Orleans Mission
Last Fall, Mission Chefs announced our first official Chef, John Proctor. John not only serves up over 700 meals a day at the New Orleans Mission, he also serves as their Director of Operations. Chef Proctor was joined by a graduate of the New Orleans Mission’s faith based discipleship program, Chef Gerald Fowler. See Gerald’s story here.
Mission Chefs serves as a catalyst bringing together the local ACF (American Culinary Federation) and the New Orleans Mission to help raise funds to build a new kitchen at their Central City location.
With less than one week away, Mission Chef John Proctor along with ACF chefs hit the airwaves on multiple TV stations and radio stations blitzing the media to promote a very important event, the Best Chefs of Louisiana Event. See John’s Fox8 segment.
Twenty four of Louisiana’s best chefs will be recognized for their talents. Chef Frank Brigtsen will be on hand to honor his mentor, Chef Paul Prudhomme.
